SPEAK TO ME

Speak to Me is an era of work created for my BFA thesis exhibition in 2017. This collection uses surrealistic and theatrical representation  to research intimacy, language, gesture, psychological development, iconography, emotional phenomena, and personal identity. I believe concept is a solid way to spark conversation and when I begin a new piece of artwork I initially ask myself three questions: “What am I trying to say?” "With what imagery can I convey this message?” and “What medium would do this message justice?”. Considering the physical and psychological responses to the various materials, Speak to Me embraces a variety of media to provoke the audience to stay longer, look a bit more carefully, and listen closer.
